
Teri Hatcher was born Teri Lynn Hatcher on the 8th of December 1964, in Palo Alto California. Her mother, Esther, was a computer programmer at Lockheed Martin, and her father, Owen, was an nuclear physicist, electrical engineer and nuclear engineer. Teri was born in Sunnyvale and attended ballet classes at the San Juan School of Dance. Fremont High School was where she was the Featherettes dance captain, and was awarded the "Most likely to be the Solid Gold Dancer" award. Hatcher graduated from De Anza College, where she was a mathematician and engineer. She also attended acting classes in San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater. Teri admitted that her uncle Richard Hayes Stone had sexually harassed her at the age of 5. She also helped Santa Clara County prosecutors in their investigation into Stone after Stone's 14-year-old victim took her own life. Stone was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty in four counts of molestation, and he passed away from colon cancer while in prison.
