Anamaria Marinca, born in Romania, is an actress. She was awarded with the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress in The Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. She speaks fluently French, German and English. Her father was an actor as well as her mother a violinist. The Mangalia Gala, which is a celebration of Young Actors, she won the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008 she was named an 'Eastern Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She also won numerous honors for her work in 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days a Romanian Art Film. In 2007, she was in as a character in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si2 (4 months, 3 weeks 3 Weeks, 3 Weeks, 2 Days) which was directed composed by Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days). The film was awarded two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). She also appeared on The Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, Marinca portrayed Yasim in BBC's Five-Episode The Last Enemy. Marinca appeared in The Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegel's highly acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. She played Irma on Fury 2014, in which she portrayed the role of a German name aunt of Emma.
